I remember really enjoying this. In my eyes it was the right mix of horror, humour and weird, spooky, intrigue. It has been along time since I watched it so I might change my mind on a second viewing but I will go with my gut on this one. 

Mmmm something wasn’t right with this film it was missing a soul ……. No literally no pun….

Some ideas were executed well though. Paul Giamatti watches on as his soul seems happy in the body of a hot Russian actress. Is this a commentary on how much vanity has to do with the fulfilment of the soul. Perhaps an inward jibe at superficial Hollywood.

Serious tone not clever enough to scratch deeper and comedy not funny enough to be taken light heartedly. A shame I really looked forwards to this.
